FOCUS

Building FOUNDATIONS OF CONTINUED UNDERGRADUATE SUCCESS is an ongoing process for every first-year student. Participating in a FOCUS Block each semester and exploring self-identity and self with others during the linked In FOCUS session provides structure for this growth.

FOCUS offers a learning community experience to first-year students who are Regents’ Scholarship recipients in General Academic Programs, College of Liberal Arts, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Biology in the College of Science. Mentors participate weekly with first-year students during the non-credit In FOCUS sessions.

Additionally, FOCUS students benefit from professional staff guidance and non-classroom activities led by peer mentors. Participants may request assignment to the optional FOCUS Living-Learning Community in Keathley Hall.

Regents’ Scholars may register for FOCUS at focus.tamu.edu in the spring prior to enrolling at Texas A&M.
